Tranquil Suicide
Singing sweet, soft melodies,
Muffled by the currents in my head.
The will to find the song is drowned
So words come out in screams.
The pressure of the water grows,
As I fall faster, deeper.
In this flooded, lonely room,
No one ever hears.
No tears to sting my eyes,
Only water crashing through broken mirrors.
My eyes begin to close
And I let the darkness blind me.
Now the liquid fills my lungs,
Collapsing bones and bruising heart,
No more life to pump the blood.
I truly miss my breathing.
The furnishings all drenched and old,
No one has lived here quite a while.
Doors sealed shut and windows barred,
Just letting in a pale blue light
